1.  One of the lifeboats with 3 bodies inside was found one month after the sinking.

2.  Out of all the bodies in the water only 306 bodies were found and recovered.


3.  Joseph Laroche who was a native of Haiti was the only black passenger aboard              the Titanic.  He did not survive the sinking of the Titanic but was able to get his family on board a lifeboat.

4.  Captain Smith was planning on retiring after the maiden voyage of the Titanic tragically Captain Smith went down with his ship.

5.  All members of the Titanic band died in the sinking by choosing to stay on the deck and play in hopes of calming the passengers.
